UniShack publishes campus housing guides to help students compare real off-campus options. This page explains how we create and maintain that content.
Our purpose
Guides are meant to be practical: neighborhoods, commute tips, and apartments that are actually listed on UniShack for that campus. We prioritize accuracy and usefulness over keyword stuffing or thin summaries.
How we research
- Apartment recommendations link to live, approved listings on UniShack whenever possible
- We avoid inventing property URLs, prices, or availability that we cannot verify in our catalog
- Campus context (commute, housing norms) is based on listing data and general local knowledge—not paid placement unless disclosed
Independence and sponsorship
Some properties pay for promotional placement on UniShack. Editorial guides should still describe housing honestly. Featured apartments in a guide are drawn from live campus inventory; paid rank does not replace our requirement that linked homes remain real, available-to- browse listings.
Updates and corrections
- We periodically review guides for dead links, outdated apartments, and thin or inaccurate sections
- When a guide is substantively revised, we update the visible "Updated" date on the article
- Spot an error? Email contact@unishack.com and we will investigate
Authors
Articles are attributed to named UniShack authors. Author bios and article lists are available from each byline on the blog.
